In addition to my Friday night food truck DJ sets in Carterton, I’ve also recently begun DJing at the Thursday Night Food Trucks event in Masterton. Held alongside the old Masterton Town Hall, this event brings together great food and music, creating a vibrant atmosphere that has quickly become a community favorite. Despite the unpredictable Wairarapa weather, the food trucks and the music are on site, rain or shine, all through the year.
We’ve already played two Thursday events in Masterton, and it’s been an incredible experience. The combination of tasty street food and live DJ sets brings a unique energy to these evenings. People come out with friends and family, not just for a quick bite, but for the overall experience—a night out with great food, fantastic music, and a welcoming community vibe. Whether it’s a warm summer night or a chilly winter evening, the crowd is always ready to have a good time.
For these events, I curate a mix of tracks that perfectly suit the food truck vibe—upbeat tunes, classic anthems, and a few unexpected hits to keep everyone engaged. My goal is to create the perfect backdrop for a fun and relaxed evening, giving people even more reason to stick around, grab another bite, and enjoy the atmosphere.
These food truck events, both in Carterton and Masterton, have really proven that combining live music with delicious food is a winning formula.
