I have the pleasure of DJing at a regular food truck event in Carterton, Wairarapa, which takes place once a month. It’s an event I always look forward to, as it brings together great music, delicious food, and a lively community atmosphere. Even when the weather doesn’t cooperate, like at our most recent event, the energy remains high, and the rain certainly didn’t dampen our spirits!

Despite the wet and cold conditions, the crowd was in great form, dancing and enjoying the evening under umbrellas and raincoats. It’s moments like these that show the power of combining good music with the right setting—no matter the weather. Whether it’s a sunny day or a rainy night, people come out for a good time, and the mix of a party atmosphere with a variety of food trucks offering delicious bites makes for a winning formula.

The Carterton food truck event has become a staple for locals looking to enjoy an evening out with friends and family, and the addition of live music only enhances the experience. There’s something about great tunes and street food that brings people together, creating a fun and relaxed vibe that’s perfect for summer events, community gatherings, or private parties.

Food Trucks & Events

If you’re planning an event in the Wairarapa, consider incorporating a food truck alongside a DJ. It’s the perfect combination to keep your guests entertained and well-fed, no matter what the weather throws your way! I’m always excited to bring the party to these events, rain or shine.

MicroRave’s Mixtape Series – Funk | Acid | Tech | House

Driven by my love of 1980s vibe 303-acid-gurgles, funky house tracks and a chunky dose of tech, this mix meanders back and forth between 1968 and 2068 (plus or minus a year or two). As ever, I throw in some definitely-on-purpose beat wobbles for you to try and spot....
